Measures The following measures have been adopted within the framework of digiCULT: Setup of a competency and consultancy centre for supporting the museums Provision of hardware and software for digital retrieval of a defined object in the participating museums Web-based digital publication of the object data and images on the Internet on the Northern Museums portal Further development of existing software concepts (production and publication databases) - development of best practice solutions Support for preparation of thesauri and subject classifications, tests for the inclusion of normative data (e.g. SWD) Definition of norms and standards Development of standardized formats for data exchange at national und international level. National and international exchange of current project developments and results Participation in creating a national portal for museum vocabulary (www.museumsvokabular.de) Collaboration with competent partners (universities, polytechnics, museum associations, cultural and educational networks, tourism agencies and data centres SH)
